Dug from the archive: My Magazine Article

I dont know what made me want to dig this up. Maybe because I didnt post it when it happened.

While working for my former employer, I wrote an article about the generation gap from my perspective. It is still located HERE.

If you have some free time, read it. Or not.

I just wanted it posted. It is really interesting for me to look back on where I was then, and where I am now.

WordPress user group

Tomorrow, the first MPLS wordpress user group will take place.

I am VERY excited for this. I have been a WP user and lover for a while now, and it is the top platform out of all the myriad of contenders I have played with.

If you are a wp fan, check it out! Hit up @gillianr on twitter for more!

(This is currently a placeholder for a post with more info-i am testing the wordpress for blackberry app, so I don’t have all the info in front of me)

EDIT: Here is the link

Partagas Cigar Cave Video

My good friend and I decided to jump into this contest-we can win $10,000 to remodel part of his house into a cigar cave.

It was a fun shoot, and hopefully we can eek out a win-and if we do, you will all be invited!

We dont need you to vote, or even watch. Just thought we would let you all see it.

And HUGE thanks to @threevolts for saving the day-my machine could not handle one of the editing tasks, and he saved it. (Plus I got to drive the @mulletlikeme camaro!)

EDIT: I failed at encoding it the first time. This is it after I re-did everything

Trying something new…

Throughout my travels, I come across a lot of things that I store in my head to recommend to people. As this back-to-college is about to start, it seems like a good time to roll this out.

I am now an Amazon affiliate. This means that I may be writing about products that I use or recommend. If you click on my link to buy them, I will make a small commission.

I would like to point out that this is not paid blogging. I will not be promoting anything that I do not feel will help people out or add value to my community.

I will be posting these under the category “Amazon Reviews”. I will use that on ALL posts with my affiliate links in them.

Once again, the views and products are all of MY choosing, and I am staking my reputation on them. This is NOT paid blogging.

My first link will be to the College Essentials page Amazon has set up. I will be replacing or changing what I have in my dorm this year, and I plan to order it online.

Look for more products in the coming weeks! I am excited to see where this experiment goes!
