One day, a bunch of geeks got into a debate on Twitter.
A spirited debate.
An important debate.
A debate over which local restruant had the best Jucy Lucy.
And as geeks, what did we do? We set up a website, made a few plans, and launched the Jucy Lucy 2009 tour.
I was commenting to New Girl yesterday, while we were walking into the Blue Door Pub, about how cool it is to be a part of something that was taking off and growing on its own.
We have people we dont know showing interest.

People are always asking when the next one will be.
To me, this is one of those social media stories where social media’s involvement is ancillary to the real story, yet without it, the story would not exist. Social Media allows us to plan it fast, get the word out, and allow others to join in without being present.
Maybe people want the distraction from the real news, the real world. Maybe the just love Jucys. No matter the reason, JLT09 is growing, and I feel blessed to be a part of it.
